Where will the jobs of the future be created?
The Global Jobs Index provides the first scientifically based answer to a simple question: How many jobs does the world need? Where are they lacking today, and where will they be created in the future? It shows the gap between the number of job seekers and the number of jobs actually available worldwide—from 2000 to 2060. Why is this important? Jobs create income and ensure social participation—without work, social cohesion breaks down.

About The Index
The Global Jobs Index measures, projects, and visualizes the future labor market situation. For the first time, it combines publicly available national labor market data with recognized economic development scenarios and shows how individual countries have developed since 2000. It also projects how this development could continue until 2060. At its core are clear job categories and the Global Jobs Gap, which quantifies the gap between the working-age population and the number of jobs available.
